About Us

Set up in the year 1984, Sri Ramamaruthi Vermiculite Mines are engaged in mining and processing of vermiculite mineral from the earth's crust. We have mastered our profession and have deep understanding of various processes which are engaged in extraction of these minerals and also the global vermiculite market as well. Vermiculite is mined and refined using a variety of techniques and supplied commercially in different grades (i,e) particle sizes of vermiculite concentrate.

Under the guidance and motivation of our founder member Mr.T.Meenatchi Sundaram, who is a mechanical engineer and an expert in mining operations, supported by a team of experts for guiding on technology front, the team has a clear understanding of the industry and the market where our minerals finds their usage.

Processing Facility

We have a modern processing plant and exfoliation plant with state-of-the-art machineries. We also possess well connected warehouses, which empowers us to cater various needs of our clients in any part of globe in the shortest time-period. Our production capacity is around 10 thousand tons per annum and we are planning to double the capacity in coming years.

Mined minerals are subjected to checks and tests on various parameters like hardness, bulk density, expansion ratio, and chemical compositions, before taken into further processing. Apart from our own in-house laboratory, we also have tie-up with NABL accredited laboratories for specialized checking when needed.

Everyone working at the quarry is competent for the work they do. They are properly trained and have the experience and knowledge to work safely. Some need formal qualification, eg explosives supervisors, geotechnical specialists. In addition, training is provided for people taking on new responsibilities or using new equipment or systems of work.
